I go through phases when it comes to the people who I follow, read or watch online. Sometimes I feel spurred on to watch every Instagram Story because I’m just digging this person or their message right now. What they’re putting down, I’m picking up. It’s resonating with me.
So, I thought I’d share some of my current favourites with you today. Maybe you’ll love ’em as much as I do.
Some of these women I’ve followed for months or years, or I’ve at least known about them that long. Some are more recent additions to my little sphere of awareness. All of them are badass.
I am especially interested in how she meshes her cycle work with her more business-focused content. It’s this sweet spot that’s got me liking every Insta pic and reading every blog post.
I can’t recommend her eBook Adore Your Cycle enough. It’s a must-read for every woman (and girl).
The Southern Yogi
I’m quite discerning when it comes to following yogis on Instagram, so I only follow a few. I do this because it’s so easy to slip into comparison looking at other people’s amazing yoga practices. So when I pick someone to follow, it’s because they’re showing me more reality than perfectly posed yoga photos.
Morgan fits this bill. Alongside her epic handstands, she’s super real on her Instagram feed. Seeing Morgan do life (even the hard stuff) and still get onto her mat is epically inspiring. Plus her two cats and dog make regular appearances and who can’t get on board with that?!
She’s also started a YouTube channel where she shares short yoga flows which are quite fun.
I couldn’t even tell you when I first heard of Gala; it’s been that long. I’ve dipped in and out of reading her blog for years, and I quickly snapped up her published book.
What’s brought me back around to Gala lately is her work around ritual and abundance. I’ve jumped on her latest course and am already a fan two days into it.
I dig ritual and sincerely believe in its power. And abundance is another of my Core Desired Feelings for 2017. So it’s no wonder Gala’s work is currently resonating big time with me right now.
I’ve only been following PK for a short while, but I’m enamoured. Peta’s work around ‘the new way’, abundance, money, multi-level marketing and consciousness is vibing high with me right now.
PK’s work transcends the brand she built her business with and is so relevant to modern entrepreneurship and business building. I’m 100% onboard.
Another beautiful soul I’ve known about for years (and interviewed too!). Recently I’ve been loving how much Vienda has been sharing about what her days look like – business mixed with life. I find this stuff insightful and also really fucking authentic.
A lot of her stories are off the cuff and show what it’s like to own your own business and make your way in the world when you’re not settling for ‘regular’.
The second yogi to make my list and for good reasons. Firstly, since I can’t find her real name anywhere, we’ll call her Rad. And I sort of love this because her Instagram and blog are all about the yoga and not about her… yet she still manages to intertwine ‘life’ into her posts, just without giving specific details.
Rad doesn’t tell us what her ‘big job’ is, just that it’s for a company that couldn’t be further from the yoga world and takes up a lot of time. Instead, she shares her yoga journey as someone who was never an athlete or dancer, as someone who came to yoga looking for help with an injury.
Anyway, she’s really rad and you should go check her out!
I’d love to hear from you – who is currently inspiring you?
